On 7 May 2019, the research team of the Libera Università Maria Santissima Assunta-LUMSA, in collaboration with CIES onlus, CNOS-FAP and Conf Cooperative-Rome, realized the first focus group in the framework of the project LIME – Labour Integration for Migrants Employment, funded by the European Union – DG Home Affairs – for the fund Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund – AMIF. With the theme “First Reception”, the staff of 6 realities formally employed in the reception and integration of migrants in Rome and its province attended the meeting: A Buon Diritto, Casa Scalabrini 634, Armadilla, Civico Zero, Comunità di Sant’Egidio, Accoglienza Libera Integrata-ALI, as well as CIES onlus. The focus group represented a moment of exchange and comparison, a valuable opportunity to meet different stakeholders, collect their opinions and enhance their respective experiences.
The group of partner organizations of the project has planned and organized other 3 focus groups with organizations, socio-economic integration services, work desks, trade unions and many others, and individual interviews with institutions in order to proceed with the drafting of an analysis conducted by LUMSA, in order to identify innovative methodologies, skills and knowledge among the actors involved, to define a long-term strategy aimed at the integration of migrants, the strengthening and promotion of existing services in the area, the creation of new strategies and operational proposals for the enhancement and definition of the composition of the Cluster.
