{"id":161,"date":"2019-05-26T15:56:54","date_gmt":"2019-05-26T13:56:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.limeproject.eu\/lpwp5\/?page_id=161"},"modified":"2020-10-08T12:54:12","modified_gmt":"2020-10-08T10:54:12","slug":"the-project","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/limeproject.eu\/en\/the-project\/","title":{"rendered":"The Project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>LIME &#8211; Labour Integration For Migrants Employment<\/b> &#8211; is a 2-years project which aims at promoting the <strong>swift integration of young Third Country Nationals<\/strong> \u2013 TCNs \u2013 (aged 18-29) in the labour market, by implementing the <em>Migrants Economic Integration Cluster \u2013 <strong>MEIC model<\/strong><\/em> all over Europe.<\/p>\n<p>LIME project is funded by the European Union &#8211; DG Home Affairs &#8211; Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF), and it gathers 7 partners from Italy, France and Spain:<br \/>\nCIES Onlus \u2013 Centro di Informazione ed Educazione allo Sviluppo (as lead partner), Confcooperative \u2013 Unione Metropolitana di Roma (CONFCOOP-ROMA), Federaci\u00f3n de Plataformas Sociales Pinardi (PINARDI), Asociaci\u00f3n Guarani de Cooperaci\u00f3n Paraguay Espa\u00f1a (GUARAN\u00cd NGO), Libera Universit\u00e0 Maria SS. Assunta di Roma (LUMSA), Federazione Centro Nazionale Opere Salesiane Formazione Aggiornamento Professionale (CNOS-FAP) and ALDA \u2013 The European Association for Local Democracy.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>What is MEIC methodology?<\/h3>\n<p>The <em>Migrants Economic Integration Cluster \u2013 MEIC<\/em> methodology is an innovative and participatory approach based on the creation of a partnership of socio-economic multi-stakeholders, including public and private actors.<\/p>\n<p>The core of the project are the <strong>two pilot actions<\/strong> to be implemented in two relevant local contexts in Italy and Spain, meaning in Rome and in Madrid in business and professional trainings, workshops for self-entrepreneurship and L2 professional language courses.\u00a0The activities aim at:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Consolidating a strategic and operational collaboration among socio-economic key actors (associations of employers, vocational training providers, employment services, local authorities, companies CoCs);<\/li>\n<li>Increasing the effectiveness of existing labour market integration policies and tools adapting them to TCNs needs;<\/li>\n<li>Standardizing and systematizing the \u201cCluster\u201d methodology to make it replicable in other local contexts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Through the definition and the implementation of MEIC model, the LIME project intends to create a <strong>long-term strategy to strengthen the policies and tools for integration of young migrants into the labour market<\/strong> in the territories of action, adapting them to their needs.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Our approach<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Capacity building workshops<\/strong> will be organized with the aim to mobilize key actors to apply the MEIC methodology all over Europe, enhance capacities of key actors in terms of TCNs&#8217; labour market integration, raise awareness among stakeholders and institutions on TCNs&#8217; labour market integration and MEIC methodology, foster employers to support the UE initiative &#8220;Employers together for integration&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Three national workshops will be organized in <strong>Strasbourg,<\/strong> <strong>Rome<\/strong> and <strong>Madrid<\/strong> and one international capacity building workshop and the final conference will be organised in <strong>Brussels<\/strong>. The workshops will be addressed to socio-economic key actors (such as Local Authorities, companies, associations of employers, NGOs, vocational training providers, employment services) at national and international level.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Our goals<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Boosting the collaboration among socio-economic key actors (associations of employers, vocational training providers, employment services, local authorities, companies CoCs)<\/li>\n<li>Increasing the employment in the labour market of TCNs through business training, workshops for self-entrepreneurship and L2 professional language courses<\/li>\n<li>Adapting the existing labour market integration policies and tools to TCNs\u2019 needs<\/li>\n<li>Promoting local initiatives for the better inclusion of TCNs in the labour market through the implementation of the MEIC methodology in Italy and Spain<\/li>\n<li>Standardizing the \u201cCluster\u201d methodology to make it replicable in other local contexts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Our results<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>80<\/strong> Third Country Nationals will sign an employment\/apprentice\/intern contract after some targeted professional trainings<\/li>\n<li><strong>20<\/strong> Third Country Nationals will be involved in business training paths<\/li>\n<li><strong>2<\/strong> new companies will be created<\/li>\n<li><strong>200<\/strong> Key actors will be involved in the capacity building workshops and will be provided with the MEIC kit<\/li>\n<li><strong>20<\/strong> Employers will join the EU initiative \u201cEmployers together for integration\u201d<\/li>\n<li><strong>1<\/strong> recommendation paper will be produced and the MEIC model will be disseminated at EU level.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>LIME &#8211; Labour Integration For Migrants Employment &#8211; is a 2-years project which aims at promoting the swift integration of young Third Country Nationals \u2013 TCNs \u2013 (aged 18-29) in the labour market, by implementing the Migrants Economic Integration Cluster \u2013 MEIC model all over Europe.
